14 bikes, with 12 members joined by two special guest appearances from David and Paul
Weather: Cool, dry, and perfectly autumnal, hovering around 11°C—ideal for a last big ride before winter rolls in!
Our season finale took us south toward Aberdour, catching the coastal road and soaking up stunning views across to Edinburgh and the Forth. The scenic route led us through Fife’s charming coastal villages, showcasing Scotland’s autumn beauty at its finest. The road conditions were pretty good considering the time of year, making for a smooth and enjoyable ride along the coast.
After winding along the coast, we stopped in Elie for a proper break at The Pavilion Café. There was coffee, cake, and no shortage of laughs! Some riders opted for a full lunch, while others stuck to quick fuel-ups—everyone was eager to get back on the road and continue the ride.
From there, we continued east to St. Andrews, where we picked up the A91 and headed west toward our final stop at Kinross Services.
We had a fantastic mix of bikes out for this run, each adding its own character to the convoy. Ian Ness’s classic Royal Enfield made an elegant statement among the more modern machines, while a strong lineup of BMWs and Honda cruisers brought power and style to the group. The Kawasaki Vulcan joined in, keeping it cool and classic, and Marc’s amazing sports bike added a sleek edge to the mix. It was a beautiful lineup overall, with many other bikes too numerous to mention but all contributing to the day’s unique and lively vibe!
This was the perfect way to cap off the biking season. A gentle, scenic run at a relaxed pace gave everyone time to enjoy the coastlines, swap stories, and appreciate the autumn colours. We lucked out with mostly dry weather, and everyone was dressed for potential rain (classic Scottish planning at its finest!). The turnout was fantastic—14 bikes strong—and everyone was in high spirits. It was brilliant to see so many out for one last hurrah before the winter lull.
With such a big group, we did get separated a few times due to traffic—narrow roads, village roundabouts, you name it—but any tailenders quickly caught up on the open stretches, where we could regroup and continue as a united front.
All in all, a memorable and fitting end to the season! From the stunning views to the camaraderie and the impressive lineup of bikes, it was a perfect autumn day out.
A massive thank you to Peter Johnson for leading the run and keeping us all organized throughout the day. And a big thanks to everyone who turned up, making the day what it was! Here’s to an even bigger and better season next year—bring on the spring rides!
