You must be a certain age to remember Da Doo Ron Ron by The Crystals!
The day started off with a dilemma with choosing which clothing to wear and it turned out I wasn’t the only one. Half of us turned up in summer jackets (some of us regretted that) and the rest had full winter gear on.
There was 7 of us at Kinross Services Ian, Kenny, David, Ali, Marcus, John and me. We left and went right and cut over to the A91 and up Glendevon to Kinkell Bridge, Glenalmond and into Little Glenshee. The roads were on the whole quiet and great variety of twisty and straight all the way to our lunch pit stop at Taste Perthshire. The place was mega busy but we got a table quite quickly, lunch was great with loads to choose from.
Back on the road after lunch back up through Bankfoot and over to Byres of Murthly on a varied selection of great roads over to Cuper Angus and down towards the River Tay, Errol, St. Madoes and through Bridge of Earn, Dunning and Dunning Glen back to Yets O’Murkhart to create a loop and on to our final stop at The Millhouse, Powmill Farm.
The highlights of the day were obviously the roads, especially the twisty bends of Dunning Glen, the ford crossing and the sun making an appearance.
David and Marcus peeled off, David to head off home and Marcus to head off to Carnoustie (I think).
A fantastic day had by all, even Ali with his tenderised derriere!

The weather gods lulled us into a false sense of security, mesh jackets and T shirts were the order of the day. They did start to make sense near the end of the run when the sun came out and the temperatures reached 20c 🤣
Still a fun day though and many thanks for the report Norman. 👍
Another well planned day out for everyone to enjoy.Thank you Ian for putting on the run and Norman for doing run report 👍
Excellent report Norman. The winter gear did make sense early on in the run, but definitely not in the afternoon. I was soaked with sweat by the time we stopped at Powmill. But then, that could be just the effect of trying to keep up (fat chance!) with everyone along the last stretch of bending twistes. By the way, the derriere still hurts and I am keeping off the saddle for at least… well, until the next run. Maybe! Great day and great company. Thumbs up to Ian for organising and leading and to John for TEC.
