The Scottish Motorcycle Club is an independent and non-profit-making club open to all who are interested in riding motorcycles responsibly for fun and pleasure in the company of other members. 

As affiliated members of the British Motorcyclists Federation (BMF) we receive discounts from several national dealers, and, in addition we receive discounts and benefits through some local dealers directly. Our new website has a private members area with news, details of ride outs, gallery, loads of links, a free video library and a new forum where you can discuss all sorts of things.

Our club night meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month at the Black Bitch Tavern, 14 West Port, Linlithgow at 8:00pm, at which all members are encouraged to contribute their ideas, suggestions and experience.  There is also plenty of time for informal discussions and new members will find a warm welcome.  You will be very welcome to come along to the next one to meet some of the other members without any obligation.

Runs via intriguing routes to places of interest are organised from March to October. Most are Sunday runs, however there is a chip shop run on the first Thursday of each month and a few Saturday runs.  There also are a few weekend and/or foreign trips, depending on support.  The club issues a calendar with details of all the runs so you can plan well in advance. We take a stand at the BMF Kelso Bikefest in July to give visiting and camping members a focal point to meet up, and take the weight (and kit) off, and discuss the Club with prospective members.

The Club recognises that not all members are able to attend all meetings, so a newsletter with news of members, events and activities is emailed to members monthly.

The Club is managed on behalf of members by a Committee consisting of a Chairperson, Editor, Events Co-ordinator, Membership Secretary, Meetings Secretary, Treasurer and WebMaster who are elected by a ballot of members (present or postal) at the AGM held in the first quarter of each year.

Membership of the Scottish Motorcycle Club is according to the Club Rules and Constitution (copy available on request), and is by Application Form and payment of the annual subscription, currently £15. If joining the club after the end of September this price is halved. The club year terminates at the end of March.
