DESCRIPTION:** This run has not been Cancelled** \nA gentle season opener\, to blow away those cobwebs\, and get out on the open road again. \nMeet at Dreghorn Fuel Station @ 09:45 for a 10:00 start. \nAround the By-Pass heading towards Musselburgh\, picking up the coast road round to North Berwick. \nStopping at Tesco’s for a quick leg stretch\, fuel? toilets? \nContinuing round the coast to St Abbs\, heading to Ebbcarrs Café at St Abbs harbour. \nBack on the road heading for Duns\, with a quick stop at Challenge site A – Jim Clark Museum for those that require a photo. \nHeading North West through Longformacus to a layby with a view for a leg stretch. \nFinal stretch picking up the A68\, round the By-Pass back to Dreghorn. \nSMC Hi-Viz vests will be used to identify the Run Leader & TEC. \nApprox Route here \n115 miles\, approx. 3 hours 20 mins riding time. \nRun is suitable for all. \nRun Leader will be Peter Johnson

SUMMARY:Callander Chippy Run – Thursday 10.04.25
DESCRIPTION:Thursday 10th April – 18:30 to 21:00 \nA short (probably the shortest) run for fish and chips to Callander. \nStart at Dobbies Garden Center Stirling at 18:30 for a 18:40 start. (meet outside the gates) \nA fairly straight road along the A84 through Doune to Callendar. \nThere are a couple of establishments to choose from for food. \nAfter a bite to eat and a natter\, we will head towards Aberfoyle\, via the Trossachs and Dukes Pass. \nProvisional route here\, 28 miles (14 miles + 14 miles)\, less than 1 hour total riding time. \nFirst section is suitable for all. The second section\, Dukes Pass\, is a little technical\, but passable by all with care. \nRun leader will be Peter Johnson.

SUMMARY:CHAS Run – Carron Valley MCC Easter Run – Sunday 20.04.25
DESCRIPTION:As with previous years\, we plan to join a number of other riders at the Carron Valley MCC Easter Run in aid of C.H.A.S. \nThe day will be a mix of SMC Club run and joining the group ride out. It will start at the BP Bowtrees Petrol Station at Kincardine Bridge at 09:00 for a 9:30 departure. We shall then continue as a group to the CHAS starting point\, Three Bridges Car Park. Marshalls shall direct us to suitable parking spot. There is no checking in\, just the opportunity to soak in the atmosphere\, have a look at the bikes and make a donation to the charity. \nThe procession\, shall leave at around 10:30 heading towards Kinross Services. The route shall be 125cc friendly and shall be marshalled by the police. Hopefully we shall be able to stick together as a group as there is generally no overtaking. We shall arrive in Kinross again being marshalled to parking location. \nFrom Kinross Services\, John Hill will lead the SMC group on our club run to the Hayloft in Falkland for lunch @1:00pm\, and then onto a short run around Fife finishing at TBD around 3:30pm. \nSMC Hi-Viz vests will be used to identify the Run Leader & TEC. \nApprox. known partial Route here \nUnder 70 miles\, under 3 hours riding time (very approximate distance and times due to the nature of the event) \nRun is suitable for all. \nRun Leader will be John Hill

SUMMARY:25th Anniversary Weekend Event – Sat-Mon 26-28.04.25
DESCRIPTION:** Update ** \nDinner is booked for 6pm each night \n  \n26th to 28th April 2025 (Saturday to Monday) \nAs many of you probably know\, 2025 marks the 25th Anniversary of the Scottish Motorcycle Club. \nWe are starting off this celebratory year with a weekend away in a hotel in Strathpeffer. \nMore 25th Anniversary announcements at the AGM! \nProvisional plans are to have dinner all together on the Sunday evening and probably group photo’s etc. (although we will possibly eat together on the Saturday as well!) and a gentle ride out on the Sunday. \nPartners of SMC members are also welcome\, and additionally very welcome to join us on the Sunday run if they wish\, or make their own plans for the day (as has been done in the past). \nPlease book directly with hotel\, and don’t forget to mark your attendance on the SMC event calendar. \nBen Wyvis Hotel\, Strathpeffer IV14 9DN\n01997 423387\nWhen booking please quote “SMC 25th Anniversary Event”\nThe club has provisionally reserved a number of rooms\, but these are obviously only available on a first come first served basis. \nApproximate prices for a twin room for the two nights are £247 Dinner\, Bed & Breakfast and is payable on arrival with card details being taken at the time of booking. \nThere has been a forum chat created in the Paid Members; General Chat area to allow any Trip discussions. 25th Anniversary Weekend Event chat. DESCRIPTION:A gentle run setting off from the Ben Wyvis Hotel\, Strathpeffer @ 10:00 ish \nFirst stop is for fuel after 3 miles\, if required. Heading east to Gairloch\, following the costal road to Ullapool\, stopping along the way for a leg stretch. \nStopping for lunch in Ullapool @ Bothy Coffee Shop?? Fuel is also available. \nContinuing north to Loch Borralan and onto Invercassley Tea Rooms for a cuppa? \nHeading south east to Bonar Bridge\, Dingwall and back to the hotel via a fuel stop (5 miles from the hotel) if required. \nApprox. Route here \n189 miles\, approx. 4 hours 30 mins riding time \nRun is suitable for all\, including those who are not staying in Strathpeffer over the weekend. \nRun Leader will be Peter Johnson
