SUMMARY:June Jaunt Run - Saturday 01.06.24
DESCRIPTION:Starting from Crieff Visitor Centre for a 10am departure\, no better way to celebrate the start of June than with a jaunt around some favourite Highland Perthshire biking roads. This ride will visit lochs Tay\, Tummel and Rannoch\, encompassing both flowing A roads and narrow/single-track rural byways. Finishing back at Crieff Visitor Centre around 5:30pm. \nSome of the smaller roads are in a rough condition with a lot of surface grit\, so this run won’t be suitable for beginner or nervous riders. \nPlease bring emergency drinks/snacks just in case the Bridge of Balgie tearoom is closed on the day. \nDuration – aorund 5hrs plus stops \nStops:-Bridge of Balgie for morning coffee\, Ballinluig for lunch and fuel stop and Highland Safaris for afternoon coffee if time permits \n  \nRun Leader – Kona Andrews Macphee

DESCRIPTION:Cancelling this run due to forecast of heavy rain. Whilst not adverse to riding in the rain\, it’s not conducive to chips and chat outside.\nMeeting at Greggs Drive through\, off the A7\, next to Eskbank Roundabout for departure at 6pm \nWe shall head South on some of the back roads\, B6372 towards Gladhouse Reservoir and then onwards towards the A703. Hand a right and down to Peebles to Jim Jack’s Fish & Chips. After food\, we’ll head out of Peebles on the A72\, onto to Romannobridge and up to end point at The Steading. \nRun is open to all. SUMMARY:A7 Run - Saturday 15.06.24
DESCRIPTION:Continuing the monthly club runs\, David Jerome shall be leading this run down to Carslisle and back again. \nStarting from Starbucks drive through outside Dalkeith for a 10:30 start. \nHeading down the A7 towards the first coffee stop at The Waterwheel Tea Room\, just outside Selkirk. Continuing on down A7 towards Lloyds Motorrad/Honda for a coffee and to look at the bikes. Next stop at Longtown for lunch. \nHeading back up using some back roads\, with a petrol stop at Langholm and from there\, Innerleithen\, Peebles and Penicuik finishing at The Steading just outside Edinburgh. \nApproximate route here. 180 miles\, 5 hours riding. \nOpen to all members. \nRun Leader – David Jerome
