DESCRIPTION:UPDATE – Due to the indicated attendance the number of Tee Times booked has been reduced to one.\n1 Tee Time has been booked (12:00)\, max. of 4. \nFollowing on from last year’s successful golf event @ Stirling GC\, here is the details of this year’s event. \nSaturday 11th May 2024 @ Pumpherston Golf Club \n2 Tee Times have been booked (12:00 & 12:07)\, max. of 4 per slot. \nPlease arrive at least 15 mins before the start time\, and allow about 4 hours for the full 18 holes. \nCost will be appox. £32 per person (I’m a member\, so may get a greater discount depending on numbers) \nThis is not a competitive event (yea right!)\, just a leisurely round of golf with friends. \nLast years participants had a wide range of abilities\, ranging up to approx. a 25 handicap. \nNo official handicap is required to play on the day\, and the usual golf course dress code applies. \nhttps://www.pumpherstongolfclub.co.uk/ \nHost will be Peter Johnson

DESCRIPTION:Meeting at Greggs Drive through\, off the A7\, next to Eskbank Roundabout for departure at 6pm \nWe shall head South on the A7 initially\, until we hand a left onto the B6368. Up over the hill and ending up at the foot of Soutra on the A68. A quick left then right to head towards Humbie. Swap roads and through East then West Saltoun and Pencaitland and finally arrive at Super Fry Takeaway in Longniddry. \nAfter food\, we shall make our won way home. \nRun is open to all. Route here. SUMMARY:Crinan Cruise Run - Wednesday 24.04.24
DESCRIPTION:Starting at Dobbies\, 09:45 for a 10am start\, we’ll be heading to Balloch at the south end of Loch Lomond. Then it’s up the western shore to Tarbet where it’s west in the direction of Inveraray\, stopping for a coffee at The Tree Shop cafe at Cairndow then on to Lochgilphead. From here we’ll head out to our stop\, leg stretch and photo op at the Crinan basin. Doubling back to Lochgilphead for lunch (we’ll find a cafe) it’s back to Inveraray\, a left to Loch Awe and homeward via Tyndrum to final destination in Crieff (with opportunities to split off at a couple of points as desired). \nGoogle says 5hrs\, 200 miles\, so should see us back at approximately 4.30pm. \nRoute here. \nRun Leader – Ian McIntosh

DESCRIPTION:A gentle season opener run\, along a few familiar roads\, not to far away from our home patch. \nMeet at Dobbies Stirling\, 11:00 for a 11:15 start. \nA quick stint on the A9\, and heading towards Crieff. Picking up the A85\, along the side of Loch Earn\, heading towards Lochearnhead. Then northwards to Killin. \nStopping at the Falls of Dochart for a Coffee/Cake/Lunch? \nOn the road again\, along the side of Loch Tay towards Pitlochry\, but picking up the northerly loop of the A924 to Blairgowrie. DESCRIPTION:Ok\, couldn’t be any more straightforward than this! \nStarting at Dobbies Garden Centre\, Stirling\, 09:45 for 10am start\, we’ll head to the Seafood Shack on the keyside at Oban for a spot of lunch (or bring your own).  Our route will take us past Lochearnhead\, Crianlarich and a left turn after Tyndrum to Oban. On arrival in Oban I’ll be taking in the Oban War Memorial challenge site just prior to our lunch stop. Weather and consensus on the day permitting our return will include a loop taking in Inveraray\, a coffee stop at The Tree Shop Cafe on Loch Fyne\, Arrochar\, Crianlarich and on to our finish at The Crieff Visitor Centre. Otherwise our return route to Crieff will mirror our outbound ride with potential stop at The Green Welly. \nGoogle says 5hrs riding time\, 200 miles. SUMMARY:CHAS Run - Carron Valley MCC Easter Run - Sunday 31.03.24
DESCRIPTION:– For those attending a remember clocks go forward on Sunday morning at 1am – \nA with previous years we plan to join a number of other riders at the Carron Valley MCC Easter Run in aid of C.H.A.S. \nThe day will be a mix of SMC Club run and joining the group ride out. It will start at the BP Bowtrees Petrol Station at Kincardine Bridge at 09:00 for a 9:30 departure. We shall then continue as a group to the CHAS starting point\, Three Bridges Car Park. Marshalls shall direct us to suitable parking spot. There is no checking in\, just the opportunity to soak in the atmosphere\, have a look at the bikes and make a donation to the charity. \nThe procession\, shall leave at around 10:30 heading towards Kinross Services. The route shall be 125cc friendly and shall be marshall by the police. Hopefully we shall be able to stick together as a group as there is generally no overtaking. We shall arrive in Kinross again being marshalled to parking location. \nFrom Kinross Services\, John Hill will lead the SMC group on our club run to the Hayloft in Falkland for lunch and then onto a short run around fife finishing at Marcos’ Kitchen in Kincardine around 3:30pm. \nRun Leader – John Hill \nRoute Here \nOpen to all riders.

DESCRIPTION:NOTICE OF AGM 2024 \nDear Member\, \nThe Annual General Meeting of the Scottish Motorcycle Club will be held on Wednesday 13th March in The Willow Tree\, 14 West Port\, Linlithgow EH49 7AZ (formerly The Black Bitch). Tea and Coffee will be available from 7:00pm in the upstairs function room\, the AGM meeting will start promptly at 7:30pm. \nThe meeting will receive reports from the current office bearers\, consider any competent motions\, elect office bearers and set the membership fee for the forthcoming year as laid out in the enclosed agenda. \nAny member wishing to propose a motion should submit the motion in writing to the secretary (see contact details above). This must be received no later than Wednesday 14th February. The motion must be supported by a proposer and a seconder who are current members. \nAny member wishing to nominate either themselves or another member for an elected (committee) post should submit an application in writing to the secretary. This must be received no later Wednesday 14th February.
