SUMMARY:Callander Chippy Run – Thursday 10.04.25
DESCRIPTION:Thursday 10th April – 18:30 to 21:00 \nA short (probably the shortest) run for fish and chips to Callander. \nStart at Dobbies Garden Center Stirling at 18:30 for a 18:40 start. (meet outside the gates) \nA fairly straight road along the A84 through Doune to Callendar. \nThere are a couple of establishments to choose from for food. \nAfter a bite to eat and a natter\, we will head towards Aberfoyle\, via the Trossachs and Dukes Pass. \nProvisional route here\, 28 miles (14 miles + 14 miles)\, less than 1 hour total riding time. \nFirst section is suitable for all. The second section\, Dukes Pass\, is a little technical\, but passable by all with care. \nRun leader will be Peter Johnson.

DESCRIPTION:Meeting at Greggs Drive through\, off the A7\, next to Eskbank Roundabout for departure at 6pm \nWe shall head South West to Leadburn and down the A703 heading towards Peebles. However\, we shall take a right at Eddleston onto a nice un-named road…when we meet the A72 we shall take a quick right then left onto B712 past Stobo and then join the A701. A short stint North and take a left at Broughton onto the B7106 over the hill ending up at the Townhead Cafe in Biggar. \nAfter food we can make our own way home. \nRun is open to all. Route here. DESCRIPTION:Meeting at Greggs Drive through\, off the A7\, next to Eskbank Roundabout for departure at 6pm \nWe shall head East towards Pencaitland and on to Gifford. We’ll jump onto the B6355 and head to Longformacus and almost get to Duns. Just before Duns we’ll take a right onto the A6105\, trhough Greenlaw and ending up at Alfono’s Takeaway in Earlston. \nAfter food\, we shall jump onto the A68 for stint up to Lauder and then over the hill to Stow. Hand a right and down to Peebles to Jim Jack’s Fish & Chips. After food\, we’ll head out of Peebles on the A72\, onto to Romannobridge and up to end point at The Steading. \nRun is open to all.
